Consequence

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system.
Consequence
Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock.
Remedy

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence
Hazard lights that do not remain on cannot warn other drivers of a disabled vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Consequence
The loose bolts can cause steering system components to separate, resulting in loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence
A seat that fails may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing risk of injury.
Remedy
Owners are advised to limit the use of the the training seat until repairs have been completed. The remedy is currently under development. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components."
Consequence
A door that cannot be locked may open unexpectedly during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
