Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Open Trail motorhomes equipped with an optional diesel or propane generator. The wiring harness may contain incorrectly sized wires.
Consequence
An undersized wire can overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the wiring harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 12, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2026 Open Trail motorhomes. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) label may have the incorrect cargo carrying capacity information, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars.”
Consequence
An overloaded vehicle can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Tiffin will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2025. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. The printed circuit board may fail during certain operations and overheat.
Consequence
An overheated printed circuit board increases the risk of a fire.

The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may have been incorrectly printed on a white label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."
Consequence
The incorrect label color may make it difficult for the operator to locate the loading or tire pressure information, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
